I don't know how I get so lucky. Over a year ago, my aunt Cherilyn received two (very expensive) tickets to see the amazing Celine Dion in concert scheduled for last November. My Grandma was originally planning on going with Cherilyn and I was so jealous...and may have let it show too much. When the time of the concert finally rolled around, Cherilyn and my grandma were
disappointed to find out that their concert was being rescheduled. It was rescheduled for yesterday. My grandma changed her mind about wanting to go and asked me if I would take her ticket. I was so stoked! We were getting a little nervous because as the concert drew nearer, we weren't sure if Cherilyn would be able to go. She's just passing up the first trimester of her pregnancy and has NOT had it easy. The day of the concert, she knew she would not be able to go. After my long and drawn-out efforts to sell the tickets so Cherilyn could have her birthday present, my grandma told me to just find someone to go with. I immediately thought of my sister, Carly!

I was a bit nervous because I'm 8 months pregnant. I wasn't sure how this would go. Once we got there, I was immediately relieved of those nerves, considering that just about every other person was pregnant! It was kind of entertaining! Even though I was extremely uncomfortable the entire time, I loved every minute of it! I have always been a huge fan of Celine Dion. My very first concert I went to was in 6
th grade and Celine Dion opened for Michael Bolton. Of course, I was only there for Celine. Since then, I have purchased all but a few of her
CD's and know just about every song! Last night, I went from being worn out and drained of energy from walking up all the stairs to the Energy Solutions Arena to literally squealing when Celine finally came out on stage. I forgot how much I love her! Our seats were so perfect because they were on the front row of the upper bowl. What this meant was that we could belt out the songs as loud as we wanted because nobody was in front of us! During her concert, I realized what my dream job would be...I want to be a back-up singer for Celine Dion. I'm not really sure who to thank for this amazing experience...Cherilyn or my grandma. I had an amazing time and it was so nice to get out and so something for myself just before my little Eva comes.

I'm so excited that you got to go and were so happy about it. I'm sorry you spent so much effort trying to sell the tickets. I have learned a lesson about buying concert tickets, but I'm thrilled you and Carly got to see your favorite. I hope some day Cherilyn will get the chance to see her again.
I was at that Michael Bolton/Celine Dion concert! That is so funny. Poor Cher, but lucky you guys!
I'm glad you had a good time and no offence to Carly but I think you would have had more fun if I was there to relive that first Celine concert we saw together. There are few who understand just how big of fans we are to have sat through that Michael Bolton concert. I remember the newspaper bashed him and praised her. Thank you again for the t-shirt.
Geez, no fair. I didn't even know that she was coming. How fun. I can't believe you are almost done with your pregnancy. It goes by so much faster when you are not the one who is pregnant!
