This IS what fun is!

Anders and I got an early start to our weekend and got to go to Lagoon with my family on Thursday. We usually go once a year, and this was it! It was extremely hot and we did whatever it took to stay cool. Thank goodness Grandma found this Icee station! Anders was in heaven. Every time we asked him what color he wanted, he'd say, "purple!" I think he just likes to say the word. He loved riding the Zebra on the merry-go-round. I think that was because he liked to say that word too. I was very proud of myself because I even let my almost 8 and 10 year-old cousins take him on the merry-go-round by themselves. Of course, I made them promise me they'd sit on the sled that was bolted to the floor. I still think that was very big of me. Don't you? My family all knew how difficult this was for me, so they supported me the whole way through. Notice, I didn't take any pictures of it because I wasn't going to take my eye off of them. Jackson and Ellie really proved themselves! Good work, guys! Another highlight was Anders' tattoo. I let him get a tattoo, even though I've always though it was a waste of money to do that stuff at Lagoon (not to mention wt). I just knew he'd love it. He's really in to stamps and tattoos right now. He actually sat and watched every move the girl made when she airbrushed it on. when he was done, he ran back to the group to show it off. He was so proud. The best part of any Lagoon trip is the nice "Lagoonie" feeling you have when you leave. Sweaty, stinky, sticky, and just plain exhausted! It really is the topping on the cake while you're thinking about all the money you just wasted.
