I just had to add this funny little new-found freedom Anders has figured out. A few days ago, amongst some jibber-jabber that Anders was saying, we heard him say, "shishin." We both paused and said, "did he just say what we think he said?" We decided that there's no way he did. Where would he figure that out? The next morning (his birthday), he climbed in to bed with us and rolled over to Christian and said, "Dad...dad...SHISHIN!" Finally, Christian opened his eyes in disbelief. He immediately tried to convince him that his name was "daddy" and not "Christian." The more he tried, the more mad Anders would get. Finally, I told him to just let it go and it will wear off. The funny thing is that when we hear kids call their parents by their first name, Christian goes on and on about how disrespectful that is. It's almost like he jinxed himself! We thought maybe he'd forget it, but already today Anders has asked me, "where's Shishen?" He also pulled the morning routine thing again. It's so hard not to laugh. Christian really doesn't think it's as funny as I do. It will wear off, won't it?

I think if you correct him every time it will wear off. Landon used to call me Cami, I hated it, so every time I would say "who am I?" then he would correct himself. Landon still calls Dave, Dave. I try correcting him, but hey... I think Dave needs to be the one. SO Dave it is. (still drives me crazy)
OH I love you! Thanks for that sweet message. It made my whole day! I do feel so intimidated sometimes because these days I just feel like the minute they are born they should be saying there abc's:) I do think that we should do things when our kids are ready. I haven't started the whole potty training thing yet, haven't taken away the binkie, and I let her have a sippee cup of milk with her in bed. Now I have problems. I think Jake and I got into survival mode when Sadie was born, that we did anything to make Bailee happy so that she would sleep all night. Now we have some horrible habits to break. I hope I just made you feel better about things. Anders is a genius! Such a cutie! I remember potty training Ginger and Dawson. Wow, now that was a nightmare. You would think I would be able to potty train my own child! Anyways, I hope you are doing well. Love Pam
You need to know that I am laughing right now! He is so funny! I can't believe he can say Christian. Connor says one syllable words and thats it. He was on a little kick for awhile calling Paul by his name...oh wait he still does it. He gets up in the morning looking for him saying "dad...dad" and I say, "daddy's at work" then he does to the door or gets my phone "Paul...paul" too funny. I think they get over it though. My sister said just always refer to him as dad so he will call him that:) Kids are funny aren't they?
I feel Christian's pain. Avery called me "Coat-knee" for about a month before I got her to call me mom again. Everytime she said it I would just say "No, mama." But now she calls her daddy Derek. I guess they are bound to learn things like that sooner or later.
Shaylee went through a phase where she would call her daddy "babe" and "honey" because that is what she heard me saying. I can't believe your little guy is 2 already and the whole chuck-e-cheese thing, I could have told you about how it would be, you need to go on a weekday afternoon, thats the only time its not busy!He is too cute!!
I forgot to ask, where even are you living now???
Oh that is so funny. I love the stuff they come up with and I can't believe all the stuff they pick up on.
He is getting so big, I laughed hard at this! We will try to get her back in the dress tomorrow and send you a good picture. I am really glad I did it because I never even took my dress out until that and now I have a mini wedding dress that I will probably see more often and hopefully it will mean a lot to her someday. Does all that thinking mean you are having a girl, or do you know yet?
